About us The founder of "No Bad Days" Caribbean Sailing Vacations, and the owner of the catamaran “Shanties”, Jack Reschke, has over 30 years of cruising experience. Just a few of his experiences include several crossings of the Atlantic Ocean, and a sail from France across the Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean and then to Australia. Jack's cruising experiences also include time spent on the Baltic Sea, North Sea, Caribbean and Mediterranean. Jacek's cruising experience ranges from the Baltic, North Sea, Mediterranean , Caribbean, Atlantic Ocean, and Indian Ocean. He has sailed over 80,000 nautical miles on many different sailing vessels. In addition to Jack's expertise as a skipper, he also has his US Coast Guard Captain License, South African Yachtmaster Ocean License, and the Polish Yachtmaster Ocean License. He is also a NAUI certified Scuba Diver. Jack has been a sailing instructor for junior yacht club programs for many years, which has prepared him well to make learning how to sail on "Shanties" easy and fun. Jack's past life was as a professional electrical engineer, however his passion has always been in sailing. Three years ago he gave up his engineering consulting career in Chicago, bought the catamaran Shanties, and has since then been running a very successful charter business with nearly full bookings every season. His clients include both sailors and people who have never sailed before from various countries around the world. With all his skills and experience, Jack promises to make your Caribbean sailing vacation a "No bad Days" experience. Accompanying Jack on some of his trips might be his daughter Agnes, or son Matthew. Agnes is 21 years old and a senior at Villanova University while Matthew is 22 and a recent graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign heading to medical school now, and like their father; they both have had a lot of sailing experience. They have accompanied their dad on many sailing trips, but have both also spent a lot of time racing competitively at the high school and collegiate levels and even spent a year sailing around the world on the tall ship "Concordia." They are experienced sailors and both would be great assets to "Shanties."
